Relatives of Japanese victims of World War II in Aichi Prefecture visited Saipan to meet a U.S. veteran in October.

Shinzo Fukuda, 73, lost his father, and 75-year-old Takeshi Ito's older brother was killed during the war.

Both Fukuda and Ito are from Nagoya.
