NEW YORK – Hiroshima Gov. Hidehiko Yuzaki, in the U.S. to promote his “Hiroshima for Global Peace” initiative, said Wednesday he has won the support of U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
“Secretary General Ban Ki Moon expressed first his own personal commitment to disarmament for the nuclear issue and he said that he will also support our plan,” the 46-year-old Yuzaki said after the two met at U.N. headquarters. “So I think that is a big push for us.”
