SAPPORO (Kyodo) Four people were killed and four were seriously injured Tuesday night when their van overturned in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, police said.
Among those killed were two males and two females believed to be between 17 to 20 years of age who apparently suffered head and chest injuries, the police said. The accident also injured two males and two females.
The accident occurred at around 11 p.m. about 10 km from the center of Asahikawa and roughly 1 km from the local airport.
