SAPPORO (Kyodo) Rescuers found a man’s body Sunday in waters off Tomakomai, Hokkaido, near where a boat capsized the previous day, the local coast guard office said, adding that the body was confirmed to be that of a man who had been missing since the accident.
Rescue operations had continued since Masahiro Mogawa, a 36-year-old Ground Self-Defense Force member, went missing, and five of his colleagues died, after their boat capsized Friday night in strong winds and high waves.
