The phrase "ka-min-gu 30" is a "Japlish" slogan that has been adopted by a government ministry study group to encourage people to stay healthy.

Ka-min-gu 30 stands for chewing each bite of food more than 30 times, and the group within the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has proposed that it be used as a catchphrase for the ministry's attempts to promote healthy eating.

The proposal was contained in a report put together by the group, chaired by Yoshiharu Mukai, professor in the department of dentistry at Showa University in Tokyo.
