Major companies will allow their employees to take an average of 7.8 days off this summer, slightly down from 8.1 days last year.
According to a survey of 1,102 companies by an affiliate of the labor ministry, 93 percent will allow their employees to take summer vacations of more than three consecutive days. Of these, 63.9 percent will allow employees to take seven or more consecutive days.
