Aiko Uemura, Japan's mogul skiing queen and a medal hopeful at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, and Alpine skier Kentaro Minagawa registered their marriage Thursday.

The couple have been dating for three years.

The 29-year-old Uemura, who won the women's mogul final in March to claim her first title at a freestyle world championships, has booked her ticket to the Vancouver Winter Olympics next February. She captured the overall World Cup mogul crown last season.

She will make her fourth consecutive Olympic appearance since debuting as a high school student at the Nagano Games. A fifth-place result at the 2006 Turin Games is her best to date.

Minagawa, 32, missed a podium finish by a fraction of a second in the men's slalom at Turin Games and came fourth.

He won his first national slalom title in 10 years in March.
