Pioneer Corp. won’t hire any new recruits for spring 2010 — its first such move since 1983, when relevant data became available — due to poor business, company officials said Tuesday.
The measure is in line with recently announced downsizing steps, including ending television production and cutting 10,000 jobs both at home and abroad by March 2010.
