NSK Ltd., Japan’s largest manufacturer of bearings, plans to dismiss about 2,000 temporary workers, about 80 percent of such staff, at the group’s domestic plants by March, company sources said Tuesday.

Bearing demand from automakers and computer chip manufacturers has declined, forcing NSK to cut production substantially, the sources said.
