The Bank of Japan is close to downgrading the economic outlook and forecasting negative growth for the next fiscal year, sources said Monday.
The BOJ, which will hold its next policy meeting Jan. 21 and 22, is expected to cut the 0.6 percent growth projected in October in terms of real gross domestic product to around minus 1 percent, the sources said.
