The computer systems at all 670 branches of Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ are now integrated with the addition Monday of the last 115 outlets formerly operated by UFJ Bank, one of its predecessor firms.

The last installation at branches, mostly in the Tokyo metropolitan area, follows similar moves since July. No glitches have been reported in the latest move, the bank said.

In tandem with the system integration, BTMU temporarily suspended all automated teller machine services at its 670 branches as well as the use of cash cards at business partners, including financial firms and convenience stores.

BTMU, created under the merger of Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and UFJ Bank in January 2006, used its predecessors' computer systems even after the merger.
