The head of a space project team at major contractor Shimizu Corp. is enthusiastic about developing technology to make concrete on the moon that could be used to build a lunar base.

The team is pressing forward with its research, buoyed by the recent delivery of the stowage module for Japan's Kibo space laboratory to the International Space Station.

The mission was carried out by Japanese astronaut Takao Doi, who delivered the first of the lab's three modules as a member of the U.S. space shuttle Endeavour.
