Princess Aiko finished kindergarten Saturday with her parents — Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako — attending a ceremony.

The 6-year-old princess, who attended Gakushuin Kindergarten in Tokyo's Toshima Ward for two years, will enter Gakushuin Primary School in Shinjuku Ward in April, according to the Imperial Household Agency.

Princess Aiko is the only child of the couple and one of the four grandchildren of Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.

Only one of the four grandchildren — 1-year-old Prince Hisahito — is male and entitled to succeed to the Imperial throne under the Imperial Household Law.
