Police raided the headquarters of Dojin-kai, a yakuza syndicate based in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, on Monday over the slaying of a patient in a Saga hospital who was mistaken as a member of a rival gang.
Fumio Imada, 61, a member of a Dojin-kai affiliate gang, has been arrested for allegedly shooting Hiroshi Miyamoto, 34, on Nov. 8 in a hospital room that had previously been occupied by a gangster linked with the Kyushu Seido-kai gang.
On Monday morning, some 60 police investigators raided the Dojin-kai office in Kurume amid a tense atmosphere.
