China’s unilateral rewriting of the Chinese-language version of a document jointly issued with Japan after a recent ministerial economic dialogue in Beijing is “unthinkable,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura said Monday.
Parts of the Chinese-language document were modified, including the deletion of a phrase in which Japan expressed hope for China’s accelerated efforts to revalue the yuan, Machimura said.
