Home builder Sekisui House Ltd. said Monday it was ordered to suspend business for 15 days in some areas for violating construction laws.
The government ordered the Osaka-based company to suspend operations in four prefectures from Sept. 11 to Sept. 25, Sekisui said in a release distributed through the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The company failed to have inspectors at construction sites.
It said it has no plans to revise its earnings outlook.
The suspension affects operations in Gifu, Shizuoka, Aichi and Mie prefectures.
