A rightwing activist slammed a minibus into a building Wednesday in central Osaka, shattering windows on the ground floor.

Police said no one appeared to have been injured.

Police identified the driver as Tsutomu Takigawa, 58, head of a rightwing political group and a construction firm employee from Uji, Kyoto Prefecture. He was arrested on suspicion of causing property damage.

A source said Takigawa told a friend he was frustrated that Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd., a tenant in the building, had forced Takigawa's company out of a construction project through bid-rigging.
