Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan on Sunday criticized Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi’s latest visit to Yasukuni Shrine but also said Beijing will continue holding dialogue with Japan, according to members of the Social Democratic Party who met with him.

Tang also said China believes the six-party talks on North Korea’s nuclear programs should not be allowed to cease, and that Beijing hopes to revive the stalled negotiations as soon as possible, the SDP team, including honorary President Takako Doi, said.
