All Nippon Airways Co. and the Rakuten Inc. group will start a new service in October enabling people to reserve cheaper flights and hotels via the Internet, sources said Tuesday.

Currently, travelers can make hotel bookings on the Web site of Rakuten group firm Rakuten Travel Inc. but are redirected to airline Web sites to make flight reservations.

The new service will provide flights and hotels with matching travel dates, destinations and budgets, the sources said. Prices will be lower than when bookings are made separately, they said.
