Kanagawa Prefectural Police released security camera footage Friday of the man who allegedly assaulted a 68-year-old woman at a condominium high-rise in Kawasaki earlier in the week and was seen around the time a boy fell from the same floor to his death.

The man is suspected to have tried to throw the woman from the 15th floor of the building during the Wednesday attack -- near the spot where 9-year-old Yuki Yamakawa fell March 20 in what police initially believed was an accident.

According to police, someone resembling the man who attacked the woman was seen in security camera footage walking behind the boy just before his death.

Police said they did not find any fingerprints of the boy on the 1.3-meter high handrail along the place where he supposedly fell, and now are almost certain he was thrown over.

The man in the video released Friday appears to be about 30 years old and some 160 cm tall.
