Toray Industries Inc. said Tuesday its group net profit in the April-December period rose 4.6 percent to 28.0 billion yen on sales of products that include textiles, plastics, chemicals and carbon fiber composite material.
In an earnings report for the first nine months of the current fiscal year, Toray said its pretax profit surged 11.8 percent to 54.16 billion yen on a 12.6 percent jump in sales to 1.03 trillion yen.
