OSAKA (Kyodo) The Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry's Kinki Regional Development Bureau took Intel Japan K.K. off its list of bidders for two months effective Tuesday.

The action follows an order issued by the Fair Trade Commission last month that the U.S. semiconductor giant's Japanese unit stop allegedly giving rebates to Japanese computer makers in exchange for pledges to exclusively use Intel chips.

The practice is banned under the Antimonopoly Law.

Intel Japan accepted the FTC's order earlier this month but denied the allegations.
