Air Next Co., a unit of the group of airlines led by All Nippon Airways, said Monday its request to operate flights has been endorsed by the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry.

Air Next, a wholly owned subsidiary of All Nippon Airways, which is part of the ANA group, is now authorized to operate two round-trip flights daily linking Fukuoka and Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture, starting June 1, the company said.

The airline will use Fukuoka Airport as its home base. It will also operate a daily round-trip flight linking Fukuoka and Ishigaki Airport in Okinawa Prefecture.
