A 50-year-old man was arrested Monday after holing himself up inside a labor standards inspection office with a tank of kerosene.
A small fire broke out and an office employee sustained minor burns on his left leg while extinguishing the fire, which was quickly put out. Police said the suspect, Kazuhiro Hayashi, started the fire by throwing a Molotov cocktail that he ignited with a lighter.
Hayashi was arrested on trespassing and attempted arson charges at 10:30 a.m.
