BANGKOK (Kyodo) Japan and Thailand opened negotiations Monday for a bilateral free-trade agreement with an eye to further cementing already-close economic relations.
The launch of the two-day round of talks in the Thai capital is in line with an accord reached by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in December.
