Two 16-year-old youths were arrested Monday on suspicion of murdering a homeless man in June by forcing him to jump into a Tokyo river and drown, police said.
Investigators said the youths, who both reside in Koto Ward, have admitted forcing 64-year-old Yasuoki Higashi to jump into a deep part of the river and said they didn’t care if he died because “homeless people were no good as humans.”
