Resona Bank will gradually increase the number of its outlets that remain open in the evenings and weekends from April in a bid to improve convenience for customers, bank sources said Saturday.

Since last fall, Resona Bank has reopened about 20 outlets in urban areas of Tokyo and Osaka from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., after closing at 3 p.m., on a trial basis, they said. It also let about another 10 outlets in residential areas remain open on weekends.
