One person died and 13 others were injured early Saturday morning on the Chuo Expressway in Hino City, Tokyo, after a truck hit a minibus from behind, causing it to overturn, police said.

Tomoko Jinguji, 67, from Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, died of injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred around 5:10 a.m., police said.

Five others sustained bone fractures and other serious injuries, while eight suffered minor injuries, according to the police. The truck was changing lanes when it hit the minibus. It was raining at the time of the accident.

The minibus was carrying a group of tourists heading to South Korea. They left Kofu early in the morning and were on their way to Narita airport in Chiba Prefecture.
