The Kanagawa Prefectural Police put three men on their wanted list Sunday for robbery and attempted murder.

The men are believed to have been involved in the shooting of two security guards and the stealing of 10 million yen from a security van at a bank parking lot in Yokohama on Wednesday.

Police identified the suspects as Hiroyuki Kobayashi, 42; Takashi Kawada, 27; and Susumu Sugiyama, 54. The three are members of a criminal gang from Yokohama's Naka Ward affiliated with the Inagawakai syndicate. Kobayashi is said to be a senior member.

Police do not know what kind of work Kawada and Sugiyama are engaged in, nor do they know the home addresses of Kobayashi and Kawada.

The three suspects allegedly shot and seriously injured the two guards at a parking lot of the Isezakicho branch of Shonan Shinkin Bank in Naka Ward at around 9:55 a.m. Wednesday.

The two victims are Terukazu Hojo, 30, and Shinichi Nakano, 52, of the security service Sogo Keibi Hosho Co.

The robbers then stole four metal cases containing 10 million yen in cash, as well as promissory notes, before fleeing in a car, police said.

The vehicle was found empty at a parking lot in the same ward later that day. The stolen cases were discovered with locks broken and the cash gone in the city's Chinatown district Thursday.

Police believe the robbery was premeditated because the car and its license plates had been stolen in Yokohama earlier this month.

On Thursday, police investigators raided an office belonging to Kobayashi's gang. It is located near the parking lot where the car was found.

The three suspects have known each other for a long time and were confirmed to be in Yokohama shortly before the incident, police said.
