An unidentified man carrying two swords entered the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building Wednesday morning and made it all the way to the seventh-floor office of Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara before he was subdued by a guard, metro government officials said.
There were no reports of injuries in the incident, which occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. Ishihara was away on summer vacation. The man was apparently drunk, the officials said.
