Aeon Co., operator of the Jusco supermarket chain, said Wednesday it will resume selling the products of Nippon Meat Packers Inc., possibly as early as this week.
Nippon Meat’s announcement Tuesday of disciplinary measures over a beef mislabeling scandal “made the management responsibility of the company clear,” according to Aeon President Motoya Okada. “We want to resume selling the products this week while listening to customers’ responses.”
