OSAKA -- Osaka municipal authorities on Friday conducted a second inspection of the Universal Studios Japan movie theme park over the use of untreated industrial water in a drinking fountain, health officials said Friday.

While USJ Co., operator of the theme park, submitted results of its own water-quality tests, a city official said, "We cannot trust the data obtained from USJ. We need to inspect the drinking water in the park ourselves."

The city authorities examined the quality of water at about 100 taps in the park and looked into how USJ conducted its own inspections, they said.

The park opened to the public on March 31 last year and attracted 11 million visitors in its first 12 months of operation.
