Nippon Sheet Glass Co. said Tuesday it will establish a joint company with Saint-Gobain Vetrotex International S.A. of France in September.
NSG Vetrotex K.K. will produce continuous glass fibers and will be located in Tsu, Mie Prefecture.
Nippon Sheet Glass will spin off its continuous glass fiber business Sept. 2. It will then sell a 60 percent stake in the new venture to Saint-Gobain Vetrotex, a leading maker of continuous glass fibers, the same day.
