A 38-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with last month's abduction of a 22-year-old woman in Kokubunji, Kagawa Prefecture, bringing the number of those arrested in the case to three, local police said.

The woman was found unharmed in a hotel in Hiroshima Prefecture.

According to police, the latest suspect is Shoji Nakao of Kudamatsu, Yamaguchi Prefecture. He was put on a nationwide wanted list Monday, after details of the incident came to light. Police spotted him at a supermarket in the city of Iwakuni at around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Nakao allegedly kidnapped the woman near her home at around 10:30 a.m. June 29 and held her captive, investigators said.
