Public prosecutors in Wakayama Prefecture demanded a 30-month prison term Monday for a 21-year-old man accused of painting graffiti on trains.

The prosecutors told the Wakayama District Court that the defendant, Kensuke Imamura, an art school student from Osaka, has shown no remorse for painting graffiti and needs to be imprisoned as punishment.

Imamura was indicted for painting graffiti on Japan Railway trains at Kokawa Station last August and October.

Imamura also allegedly painted graffiti on Hankyu Corp. trains.
