A crew member from the Australian Navy submarine Farncomb was arrested in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, early Wednesday on suspicion of indecent exposure, police said.

The 30-year-old petty officer second class exposed himself at around 12:40 a.m. to a male employee at a bar in the city, according to police.

The sailor was drunk at the time of the arrest, police said.

The Farncomb called at Sasebo port on Tuesday prior to taking part in a multilateral submarine-rescue drill next week to be hosted by the Maritime Self-Defense Force.
