An assistant director at a museum of Chinese history in Kobe on Monday jumped off a building housing the museum in an apparent suicide attempt and died shortly afterward, police said.

Cai Duqin, 68, was spotted by a building employee jumping from the 10th floor around 8:55 a.m.
