NAGOYA – The Nagoya Municipal Government demanded Tuesday that a district court dismiss a class-action suit over flood damage to local residents, arguing that it is not responsible for damage stemming from natural disasters.
The municipal government made the statement during the opening hearing of the 750 million yen damages suit filed by some 700 Nagoya city residents before the Nagoya District Court.
