A 36-year-old man was arrested Thursday for allegedly groping a woman on a train in the city of Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture.

The man, Tsuyoshi Toyama, an employee of movie producer Toei Co. and residing in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward, was apprehended by two bodyguards the woman had hired, local police said.

Police said the 22-year-old woman had been molested on the train on a fairly regular basis since mid-April, and had hired two bodyguards from a private security firm to accompany her during her commute.

Toyama reportedly told police that he visited Nagoya on business about once a week and had continuously targeted the same woman.

The woman reportedly caught Toyama groping her in late April but did not report him to police because he apologized and promised not to repeat his action, investigators said. He persisted, however, leading the woman to hire bodyguards.

The suspect said the woman "was his type of girl," according to police.
