A new cinema complex operated by two Hollywood giants, Paramount and Universal, opened last week in Iruma, Saitama Prefecture, introducing Sony Dynamic Digital Sound and other cutting-edge sound technology.

United Cinemas Iruma is United Cinemas' first cinema complex in the Kanto region and the 10th in Japan, following others in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Sapporo and other areas.

Featuring nine screens and a total of 1,910 seats, it is the biggest cinema complex in Saitama Prefecture, and aims to attract adult audiences with its relaxed ambience and monotone color scheme.
