A man armed with a handgun on Tuesday attacked two employees of a “shinkin” bank branch office in Tachikawa, western Tokyo, and made off with $10,000 (1,076,800 yen) in cash, police said.

The male and female employees were reportedly uninjured in the attack, which occurred around 9:50 a.m. in front of the Ome Shinkin Bank branch, located about 200 meters from Tamagawa Josui Station on the Seibu Haijima Line, police said.
