One man was killed and 19 people injured Tuesday morning when their minibus overturned on the Kanetsu Expressway in the city of Higashi-Matsuyama, Saitama Prefecture, after the vehicle hit the median strip of the highway, police said.
The dead man was Toshio Saeki, 71, from Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, the police said.
The accident occurred at around 9:40 a.m. when the minibus, carrying 19 passengers, was traveling from Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, en route to the Kusatsu hot spring resort in Gunma Prefecture, according to police.
