BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — Foreign Minister Yohei Kono and his Australian counterpart, Alexander Downer, agreed Saturday to continue working to bring North Korea into the international fold, a Japanese official said.

In a meeting held ahead of a gathering of trade and foreign ministers of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum here, Downer also promised to brief Kono after he returns from a trip to North Korea from Tuesday to Thursday, the official said.
