Police apprehended a man Tuesday night after he allegedly assaulted three armored car guards who were picking up between 6 million yen and 7 million yen from an electrical appliance shop in Tokyo’s Chiyoda Ward.
Authorities said Koji Furuya of Soka, Saitama Prefecture, threatened the guards with a high-voltage stun gun before macing them. He then also stabbed the guards, seriously injuring one, with a knife in a scuffle that ensued, police said.
