Taiyoh-no-kai, a citizens' group promoting international exchange among children, is looking for participants in the 10th International Children's Conference for the Environment.

The annual conference, sponsored by such government bodies as the Environment Agency, the Foreign Ministry and the Education Ministry, as well as the U.S. Embassy, will be held July 25 at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center in Yoyogi, Tokyo.

Children of any nationality aged 9 to 15 who understand either English or Japanese are qualified to participate. The group is seeking 100 participants. Applicants should send a postcard with their name, age, grade, home address, phone number and parents' names to: Taiyoh-no-kai, 4-22-17 Funabashi, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo 156-0055.

The application deadline is July 15, but participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call or fax the group at (03) 3305-1616 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
