OSAKA -- A 14-year-old girl arrested for suspected violation of the Stimulant Drugs Control Law has confessed to taking part in a string of armed robberies targeting "love hotels" in the Kansai region, police said Oct. 6.The junior high school student from Hannan, Osaka Prefecture, is suspected of injecting herself with stimulant drugs early Sept. 26 at a love hotel in Higashi-Osaka. The teenager reportedly told police she and her 30-year-old boyfriend robbed at knifepoint hotel employees in Osaka, Kobe and Higashi-Osaka, and investigators are trying to gather evidence to back up her confessions.The man, whose name is being withheld, has been arrested on charges of attempted robbery for allegedly trying to steal cash from an automatic cashier at a love hotel in Sennan, Osaka Prefecture. Police later arrested the girl, who was in a room of the hotel at the time of the robbery attempt.
