Floresta, a "natural" doughnut bakery, is celebrating the popular "Chibi Maruko-chan" cartoon series with a limited run of doughnuts shaped like the show's characters.
The titular star, Maruko, is on sale until Jan. 21, and each week until then she will be joined by a different member of her family (until Dec. 10, you can bite into her grandpa).
Each doughnut (¥450) packs a good mix of chocolate and kinako (roasted soybean flour), although an excess of frosting in the middle proves to be a little too hard. Center aside, this is one of the tastier tie-ups you are likely see during the next few months.
