Enjoying the fresh flavors of Hokkaido
To commemorate its 15th anniversary, the Tokyo Dome Hotel is holding a Hokkaido fair at the Rilassa restaurant on the third floor through Dec. 18.
The fair is supported by the Hokkaido government, and is divided into three parts, with the second part running from Oct. 23 to Nov. 30.
For the fair, hotel chefs visited Hokkaido to find quality products at farms and markets, bringing them back to Tokyo to prepare a wide variety of dishes such as ikura (salmon roe) piled as high as diners wish on top of Hokkaido’s “Yumepirika” rice and a hot pot with fresh seafood and vegetables selected from all over Hokkaido (both available only at dinner time).
The lunch buffet is available for 90 minutes between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for ¥3,132 for adults, and ¥1,404 for children from four to twelve years old, while the dinner buffet is available for two hours between 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. for ¥4,860 for adults, ¥1,404 for children from four to twelve years old and ¥4,212 for those 65 years old and over. An all-you-can drink bar and tax is included in all prices.

Sampling the best in Peruvian cuisine
The Hilton Tokyo, together with Peruvian food specialty store Kyodai Japan, is holding a Peruvian food and cultural fair at the Marble Lounge in the lobby from Oct. 30 to Nov. 8.
Supported by the Peruvian Embassy, it is the ninth consecutive year the fair is being held at the hotel.
Guests will have an opportunity to feast on a wide range of authentic Peruvian dishes prepared by two Peruvian guest chefs, Guido Gallia and Clint Martin Ramirez, on the lunch buffet for ¥4,100 and dinner buffet for ¥5,000.
Although the menu is subject to change, dishes on the buffet include ceviche, traditional Peruvian dish lomo saltado, a stir-fry of beef, tomato, potato and yellow chili; and dessert such as mousse made of lucuma, a native Peruvian tropical fruit, and mazamorra morada purple corn pudding.
Traditional Peruvian drinks such as Peruvian wine, chicha morada purple corn drink and a pisco (brandy) sour cocktail are available for an additional charge. Live Peruvian traditional music performances will be held on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Nov. 3.

Sipping sweet tea with honey tea sets
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo in Tokyo’s Mejiro district is offering two tea sets in cooperation with honey cosmetics brand HACCI.
HACCI Afternoon Tea and HACCI Evening Cute Tea, both available at the lobby lounge Le Jardin until Dec. 30, feature a range of sweet and savory treats, including blancmange and honey jelly, honey chiboust cream pastry and honey-roasted ham and cucumber sandwiches.
The afternoon tea, also served alongside three kinds of freshly baked scones — grapefruit, ginger and plain — with acacia honey in clotted cream, is available from noon to 6 p.m. for ¥3,800, while the evening tea is offered from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for ¥3,000. The evening service is only available for 20 guests per day and prices include tax, but are subject to a 10 percent service charge.
Customers can also enjoy as much tea as they wish, choosing from about 20 kinds of delicious brews.
