It was four months ago, I was amazed by the systematic organization of everything; from people to objects, the punctuality, the humility of the people, homogeneity that embraces diversity with respect, technological advancement and general cleanliness, most importantly, that weird feeling that I’m home yet so far away, and the food.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. My whole life is guided by the belief that you have to start small to become big. I am a perfectionist, so I sit and learn quietly about everything in life, then follow. I have never gone wrong with this one.
Attaining my Ph.D. was my proudest moment. Upon completion, I realized that working toward a Ph.D. is a perilous journey of endurance, and completion implies that one is strong and ready for life’s hurricanes and earthquakes. This is because it has nothing to do with what you know, but very much how one can stand constructive criticism from others.
Japan is very good place to learn, and fortunately the bilateral relationship between Lesotho and Japan has a long, good history. I intend to enhance the relationship to greater heights, especially in the areas of tourism, commercial agriculture and cultural exchange through research and general educational exchange programs.
Japan is a very good place to learn. While in Japan, absorb Japanese cultural practices, especially their approach to peace and their vertical societal and structural organization, as it does not leave room for loopholes; and that failure of any form is not a person, but an event and not a point of residence. If you fail to strike a deal, there is next time. Regroup and come back with a better strategy.
