Tokyo: Kagurazaka Matsuri

Summer Festival of the area. The festival features Hozuki (ground cherry) Fair and Awa Odori folk dancing performed by townspeople in Yukata (cotton Kimono).

Schedule & Key events:
● July 24 & 25 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Hozuki fair at the temple
● July 26 & 27 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Awa Odori along the street

Location: Bishamonten Zenkoku-ji Temple, Kagurazaka-dori Street, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo


Access:
(1) Tokyo Metro Yurakucho, Tozai, Namboku Line or Toei Oedo Subway Line to Iidabashi Sta. (Y13, T06, N10, E06)(Exit B3) (2) JR Sobu Line to Iidabashi Sta. (West Exit), and then walk 1 min.
